Bye, Bye Karl

Karl Rove is quitting "for the sake of his family.”

God, it feels good to blog that. Lucky I didn't quit blogging, eh?

What does it mean?

It means we are winning.

It means Bush is fucked. It means Alberto Gonzales is most certainly fucked.

[Rove] has been the focus in the Congressional investigations into the firings last year of several federal prosecutors, and he was until last year a focus of the C.I.A. leak case investigation that led to perjury charges for Vice President Dick Cheney’s former chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby.

Mr. Rove emerged from the cloud of the investigation to try to stave off Republican defeats last fall. The subsequent failure was his biggest political loss during his tenure at the White House.

Remember, in the lead-up to the US mid-term elections in 2006, how everybody was waiting for Karl Rove to pull a rabbit out of his fat right-wing arse? And now everybody is waiting for John Howard to do the same thing...

Rove's departure spells trouble for Howard. It spells a White House in meltdown, which is sure to have further repercussions. And Howard hasn't been doing so well since his own turd blossom, Arthur Sinodis, left town...
