Why is it that rightwing sites always come out top in these stupid Blog Awards?

I think it has a lot to do with the different psychological profile of wingnuts, who love that warm and fuzzy swarming feeling. It reminds me of the schoolyard, where some kids would do anything to be part of the Cool Gang, while others were prepared to stand by their principles, whatever the cost.

NB: This is not just sour grapes. While I did support my friend WP's bid at the Weblogs, I myself gave up on these things a long time ago. WP was beaten in his category by a wingnut, but hopefully he at least got some free publicity out of the event.
